در پی درگذشت آقای سید علی اکبر پرورش، یادگار امام پیام تسلیتی را صادر کرد. به گزارش جماران، متن پیام حجت الاسلام و المسلمین سید حسن خمینی در پی می‌آید:

درگذشت مرحوم مغفور جناب آقای علی اکبر پرورش که از سال‌های تلخ ستم شاهی تا روز‌های سنگین انقلاب و دفاع مقدس و پس از آن در ایام دشوار بیماری همواره از نیکان و مومنان بود‌، موجب تأثر همه دوستداران ایشان شد. اینجانب با عرض تسلیت درگذشت ایشان به خانواده مکرمشان و یاران و همرزمان آن مرحوم‌، از خداوند متعال علو درجات را برای ایشان مسئلت دارم.
