یادگار گرامی امام به اهمیت روز عرفه و بیان توصیه‌ای از امام خمینی درباره اذکار و ادعیه پرداخت.

فردا روز عرفه است. روزى که مى‌توانیم با دعا و استغاثه جان و روح خود را صفا دهیم. امشب و فردا را قدر بدانیم. روزه گرفتن در روز عرفه مستحب است ولى جالب است بدانید که ظاهراً تنها در مورد روزه‌ى روز عرفه است که گفته‌اند «این روزه مکروه است اگر باعث بى حالى روزه دار در دعا خواندن بشود». از همین نکته مى‌توان فهمید که روز عرفه از یک خصوصیت مهم برخوردار است و آن اینکه آنچه در روز عرفه اهمیت دارد دعا خواندن است. دعا سخن گفتن مستقیم با خداست. سخن بگوییم و دل خود را صیقل دهیم.

هر گاه از امام مى‌پرسیدیم که چه ذکر و دعایى بخوانیم، مى‌فرمودند «گناه نکنید و واجبات خود را انجام دهید و اگر خواستید به آنچه در مفاتیح الجنان نوشته عمل کنید.» در کنار اهمیت مستحبات، یادمان باشد که مهمتر از هر چیز توجه به واجبات و محرمّات است. شرط قبولى هر چیز رفاقت با خداست. پیمان شکن لایق رفاقت نیست.

مهم ترین و بهترین کار دنیا آن است که گناه نکنیم. امشب و فردا عزم کنیم که از گناه دورى کنیم. چه گناه‌هاى کوچک و چه گناه‌هاى بزرگ. مرحوم آیت الله میرزا جواد تبریزى در کتاب اسرار الصلوة در تعریف گناه کوچک و بزرگ مى‌نویسد: «اگر مرتکب گناه صغیره، آن را کوچک بشمارد و ارتکاب آن را امری ساده تصور کند هر اندازه که آن گناه را کوچک شمرد، همانقدر آن گناه بزرگ خواهد بود. هم چنین گناه کبیره، هر اندازه که ارتکابش در نظر عارف بزرگ آید، نزد خدا کوچک خواهد بود».
