یادگار گرامی امام با انتشار یادداشتی در صفحه اینستاگرامش، به بررسی ابعاد دوگانه حادثه کربلا پرداخت. به گزارش جماران، متن یادداشت اینستاگرامی حجت‌الاسلام و المسلمین سیدحسن خمینی به شرح زیر است:

«کربلا دو بُعد دارد، یکی کشتن حسین(ع) و دیگری انتقام از علی(ع). آن‌ها که در مقابل سیدالشهدا ایستاده بودند، می‌دانستند که او نوه پیغمبر(ص) است و همان روز در نماز خویش بر محمد(ص) و فرزندانش درود فرستاده بودند، اما بغض علی را چه کنند؟ با کینه محمد(ص) و اهل بیتش چه سازند؟

آنگاه که امام حسین(علیه السلام) تمام یاران خود را از دست داد و برای جنگ، آهنگ دشمن نمود؛ برای آخرین‌بار و برای اتمام حجت خطاب به آنان فرمود: «یا وَیْلَکُمْ اَتَقْتُلُونِی عَلی سُنَّه بَدَّلْتُها؟ اَمْ عَلی شَریعَه غَیَّرْتُها، اَمْ عَلی جُرْم فَعَلْتُهُ، اَمْ عَلی حَقٍّ تَرَکْتُهُ»؛ وای بر شما! چرا با من می‌جنگید؟ آیا سنّتی را تغییر داده‌ام؟ یا شریعتی را دگرگون ساخته‌ام؟ یا جرمی مرتکب شده‌ام؟ و یا حقّی را ترک کرده‌ام؟ دشمنان با کمال وقاحت خطاب به امام(علیه السلام) گفتند: «اِنّا نَقْتُلُکَ بُغْضاً لاَِبِیکَ»؛ بلکه به خاطر کینه‌ای که از پدرت به دل داریم، با تو می‌جنگیم و تو را می‌کشیم.»
