کمتر کسی به توانایی علمی شهید بهشتی در علوم اسلامی پرداخته است

شهید آیت الله بهشتى را از جهات مختلف ستوده اند. اما شاید کمتر کسى به توانایى علمى ایشان در علوم اسلامى پرداخته باشد. شاید این امر به باقى نماندن آثار خاص و نوشته هاى مشخص از ایشان در برخى رشته ها مربوط باشد . از زبان هاى صادق در حوزه علمیه شنیده ام و بسیار هم شنیده ام که جوهره ى استعداد و ذکاء اندیشه ى آن بزرگوار منحصر به فرد و ممتاز بوده است. آن شهید از زمره نخستین کسانى بوده است که در درس اصول امام شرکت کرده و چنان که بزرگانى نوشته اند نخستین دوره ى درس اصول فقه امام با حضور ایشان و حضرات آیات مطهرى و منتظرى از سال ١٣٢٥ و از ابتداى مباحث اصول عملیه تشکیل یافته بود.

توانمندى فقهى مرحوم بهشتى در زیر سایه جهات سیاسى ایشان پنهان مانده است. و این حجاب که کم و بیش بر دیگر عالمان سیاست مدار هم سایه گسترده است، مى تواند به مدد آشنایان با فکر و سخن ایشان تا حدودى زدوه شود. امرى که همت فرزندان فاضل و دانشمند آن شهید سعید را موجب شده و ان شاء الله خواهد شد. کوتاه سخن آنکه از بسیارى از مراجع و فقیهان بزرگ شنیده ام که بهشتى در علوم اسلامى سرآمد و ممتاز بود.
