در پی درگذشت اخوی حضرت آیت الله سید جعفر کریمی، حجت الاسلام و المسلمین سید حسن خمینی یادگار گرامی حضرت امام خمینی(س) ضمن پیامی این ضایعه را به ایشان و خانواده محترم تسلیت گفتند. آیت الله سید جعفر کریمی در پیامی از یادگار گرامی حضرت امام تشکر کرده اند که در ادامه متن کامل اين پيام را می خوانید:

ضمن اهدای سلام و تحیات از بذل مرحمت جنابعالی در اعلام تسلیت ارتحال اخوی مکرم که موجب شادی روح آن مرحوم و مایه‌ی آرامش خاطر اینجانب و سایر بازماندگان گردید صمیمانه تقدیر و تشکر می‌نمایم. دوام سلامتی و مزید توفیقات حضرتعالی را در ادامه‌ی راه امام راحل(قدس سره) از ایزد متعال مسألت دارم.
