یادگار گرامی امام گفت: روز فتح ظفرمندانه خرمشهر یک روز به یاد ماندنى است که هیچ گاه جایگاه خود را در جان و روح ایرانیان از دست نخواهد داد.

در حافظه یک ملت ، برخى روزها ماندگار مى مانند. این ماندگارى گاه از علتى شیرین و گاه از زمینه اى تلخ برخوردار است و گاه عظمت و بزرگى حادثه تلخى ها را شیرین و ناملایمات را سازگار مى کند. روز فتح ظفرمندانه خرمشهر از هر منظر که بنگرید یک روز به یاد ماندنى است که هیچ گاه جایگاه خود را در جان و روح ایرانیان از دست نخواهد داد. عظمت این اتفاق بزرگ ، مصیبت شهادت پاک ترین فرزندان مردم را به حلاوت پیروزى و افتخار تبدیل کرد و دست خدا بر بلنداى دست و بازوى رزمندگان نشست و چنین بود که خرمشهر را خدا آزاد کرد
براى نزدیکان امام مشهود بود که کمتر روزى براى آن بزرگوار به شیرینى و زیبایى روز آزادسازى خرمشهر بود.
