سید حسن خمینی، عضو هیات موسس و هیات امنای دانشگاه ازاد اسلامی طی نامه ای  به رییس جمهور ضمن اعلام فقدان وجاهت قانونی در موضوع عزل رییس دانشگاه ازاد اسلامی و نیز نصب سرپرست جدید بدون رای گیری در هیات امنا دانشگاه از وی خواست نسبت به مسئله برای راهگشایی ورود کند.

به نظر اینجانب روند عزل برادرمان جناب آقای میرزاده از وجاهت قانونی برخوردار نیست و حداقل آن است که شبهه غیر قانونی بودن آن بسیار قوی است. هم چنین نصب سرپرست نیز بدون رای گیری در هیات امنا بوده است. ورود حضرتعالی در مسئله حتما مفید و راهگشا خواهد بود .
