دبیراجرایی حزب موتلفه در یادداشتی در هفته نامه این حزب نوشت:

این حزب برای نیل به هدف کاهش تنش‌ها در فضای سیاسی کشور در نخستین روزهای پس از انتخابات ریاست جمهوری دهم با حضرات آیات مهدوی کنی، یزدی، خزعلی، امامی کاشانی و هاشمی رفسنجانی و حجج اسلام تقوی، ناطق نوری و سید حسن خمینی دیدار کرد. همچنین با 4 نامزد این انتخابات نیز دیدارهای جداگانه‌ای انجام داد.

در ایام فتنه و در جهت تقویت رکن ولایت فقیه که مورد هجوم دشمن بود دیدارهایی نیز با مراجع عظام تقلید توسط این حزب انجام شد که در فضای سیاسی کشور اثرگذاری فراوانی داشت.
اگر چه در همان ایام و در گرد و غبار فتنه برخی که خود را جزو با بصیرت‌ترین‌ها می‌دانستند برخی دیدارهای حزب موتلفه اسلامی را ناشی از بی بصیرتی تلقی می‌کردند اما تأییدات بزرگان و دلسوزان نظام و مراجع معظم آنان را به ادامه مسیرشان ترغیب می‌کرد.

البته مسئولان حزب موتلفه اسلامی از چند ماه قبل از برگزاری انتخابات ریاست جمهوری برخی مواردی را که بعد از انتخابات موجب چالش بود متذکر شده بودند؛ از تذکر به آقایان خاتمی، کروبی و موسوی برای جدا کردن صف خود از اهانت کنندگان به اسلام، نظام و ولایت فقیه در اسفند 87 گرفته تا هشدار به مردم به دقت در انتخاب نامزدها و جریانهایی که پشت آنها پنهان شده‌اند.
در اردیبهشت 88 بود که از طرف موتلفه اسلامی تذکر داده شد این انتخابات رقابت حق و باطل نیست و نیز یادآوری اینکه طراحان کمیته صیانت از آرا به دلیل احتمال ناامیدی از رأی مردم، سلامت انتخابات را از قبل زیر سئوال می‌برند.

مسئولان حزب موتلفه اسلامی که از قبل نسبت به همه این موارد و دیگر اتفاقات تلخ پس از انتخابات هشدار داده بودند در ایام پس از خطبه‌های 29 خرداد رهبر معظم انقلاب در دیدارهایی با افراد مختلف سعی در آرامش بخشی به فضای سیاسی کشور داشتند.

انجام چند دیدار با نامزدهای معترض به نتیجه انتخابات به ویژه آقایان کروبی و موسوی و درخواست از آنان برای بازگشت به خط نظام و مردم را علیرغم همه تهمت‌ها و ادعاهای جریانهایی که خود را با بصیرت‌ترین‌ها می‌دانستند دنبال کردند.

دیدار با دیگر شخصیت‌های سیاسی معترض نیز در همین فضای تهمت دنبال شد تا در گرد و غبار ایجاد شده توسط فتنه‌گران و هم زدن این گرد و غبار توسط برخی مدعیان بصیرت، حقایق از مردم دور نماند و البته ثمره این تلاشها و تلاشهای دیگر فعالان خیمه انقلاب و از همه مهمتر بصیرت مردم بیدار ایران اسلامی حماسه نهم دی ماه را خلق کرد.
