يادگار امام گفت: اين يک ملت است که جنگ را انجام مي‌دهد. هر وقت همه يک ملت با هم بجنگند، افسر خط مقدم جبهه هم مي‌ايستد.

به گزارش پايگاه اطلاع رساني و خبري جماران،‌ حجت الاسلام و المسلمين سيدحسن خميني در جمع وابستگان نظامي‌22کشور جهان در جماران، با بيان اينکه به فرموده امام “خون بر شمشير پيروز است”، به نقش مردم در جنگ تحميلي پرداخت و اظهار داشت: در سال 1320 دردوران جنگ جهاني دوم، وقتي متفقين مي‌خواستند به ايران حمله کنند، رضاشاه به بازديد يکي از پادگان‌هاي انگليسي مي‌رود. در آنجا از افسر خارجي مي‌پرسد که اگر متفقين به ايران حمله کنند ما چند روز مي‌توانيم مقاومت کنيم؟ افسر خارجي جواب بسيار زيبايي به رضاشاه مي‌دهد. مي‌گويد؛ سخنِ چند روز نيست سخن چند ساعت است. بعد از اينکه رضاشاه از پادگان خارج مي‌شود، ايراني‌هايي که در آن جلسه بودند از افسر خارجي مي‌پرسند، چرا توي ذوق رضاشاه زدي؟ او مي‌گويد من تازه احترام کردم و گفتم چند ساعت والا سخنِ چند دقيقه است.

وي به دلايل سقوط کشور در دوران جنگ جهاني دوم پرداخت و گفت: علت اينکه ايراني‌ها در آن روزها نتوانستند در مقابل خارجي‌ها مقاومت کنند و بعدها توانستند، در يک نکته بسيار ظريف نهفته است و اين مربوط به ايران هم نيست، فکر مي‌کنم در همه جاي دنيا اين مساله را مي‌توان پي‌جويي کرد. نيروهاي نظامي که در جبهه‌ها مي‌جنگند در حقيقت بخش بيرون قطعه يخي هستند که ديده مي‌شود. جنگ را نيروهاي نظامي انجام نمي‌دهند اين يک ملت است که جنگ را انجام مي‌دهد. هر وقت همه يک ملت با هم بجنگند، افسر خط مقدم جبهه هم مي‌ايستد.

يادگار امام با بيان اينکه در جنگ‌هاي بزرگ دنيا وقتي يک ملت تصميم به ايستادگي مي‌گيرد ارتش هم مي‌ايستد؛ خاطرنشان ساخت: در نبرد معروف استالينگراد وقتي ملت روسيه تصميم به مقابله با متجاوزين مي‌گيرد پيروزي حاصل مي‌شود. مثال بسيار روشن‌تر اين مساله، جنگ ويتنام است. در دوره معاصر خودمان، جنگ‌هايي که فرزندان لبنان در مقابل ارتش صهيونيستي داشتند و همچنين جنگ تحميلي از آن جمله است که يک ملت هشت سال در برابر دشمن ايستادند.

سيد حسن خميني در پايان با بيان اينکه اگر ريشه‌هاي ارتش در ميان ملت باشد پيروز است، گفت: البته نقش نيروهاي نظامي‌ را نبايد ناديده گرفت اما آن چيزي که در کنار نيروهاي نظامي‌ نقش بسيار جدي ايفا مي‌کند اين است که چه مقدار پشتوانه مردمي‌براي نيروي نظامي ايجاد شود؟ ما در جنگ خودمان شاهد بوديم افراد در جبهه بودند مادران آنها در پشت جبهه مشغول پخت غذا براي آنها بودند. يا خانمي به همسر خود نامه مي‌نوشت که نمي‌خواهم به پشت جبهه برگردي بايد بايستي و دفاع کني.

پيش از يادگار امام، سردار موحدي رييس کميته نيروهاي مسلح ستاد بزرگداشت امام خميني در سخناني با طرح اين پرسش که ايران کشوري است که تازه انقلاب کرده بود و توان نظامي محدودي داشت چگونه توانست هشت سال در مقابل قدرتي که به وسيله همه قدرت‌هاي آن روز جهان حمايت مي‌شد، پايداري کند؟ گفت: صرف نظر از درايت حضرت امام، مهمترين عامل رهبري معنوي امام بود امام به دليل رهبري معنوي، مردم و فرماندهان جنگ را عاشق خود کرده بود. همه مسوولان نظامي و فرماندهان احساس مي‌کردند که اگر دستور امام را انجام بدهند دستور خدا را انجام داده‌اند و به همين دليل سخت‌ترين عمليات‌ها را در طول هشت سال دفاع مقدس انجام دادند.
